Last night my girlfriend wanted Pho. For those who don’t know, Pho is a Vietnamese noodle soup and there are probably 654,386,170 Pho restaurants in LA. I had been hearing about how good this particular Pho restaurant was for a while and decided to check it out.

I had actually been by there once before but there was a line. On principle i would never wait in a line for Pho, so I drove to K-Town and came back at a less busy time. Right away you can tell that it’s not your typical Pho restaurant. The place is decorated in kind of a modern style, obvious that they cater to a different crowd. The food was pretty good. I had a rare steak (thinly sliced beef) noodle soup and my girlfriend had cold noodles with lemon grass beef and egg roll. They don’t have as high of a noodle to broth ratio as some of the more “authentic” Pho spots and i feel like their meat is actually lower quality than most Pho i have had. Their broth however is darker than most and VERY good. I had a couple of bites of the cold noodle dish and it was really good also. I would definitely suggest this place if you are in the area, but it’s not worth a drive across town if you have a local Pho spot.

The Kung Fu star was found dead in his hotel in Bangkok late Tuesday night. He was hanged when they found him, presumably by himself. I never watched Kung Fu, but a colleague of mine watched it everyday when he was a kid and he is totally buggin’. Big ups David Carradine!!! Give God a roundhouse kick to the face for me!
